The 2011-2012 school year will begin my tenth year teaching. I have taught first grade, fourth grade, and fifth grade. I have my B.S. in Elementary Education from East Carolina University. I completed my Masters in Education in 2006. During this time I also worked to receive my AIG (Academically and Intellectually Gifted) Certification. I received my National Board Certification in 2007, and I attained my Administration License in the Spring of 2009. I have been at Moss Hill for eight years and have loved every minute of it. I was voted Moss Hill's Teacher of the Year for the 2011-2012 school year. I was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, but Kinston is where my heart is. I have lived in Kinston with my husband, Kevin, for 15 years, and I have three sons, Gavin, Hayden and Dylan.
